Introduction Toyokuni Jinja is located in the site of Osaka Castle. This shrine was established under the order of the Emperor Meiji in 1868 and has since enshrined General Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Toyotomi Hideyori, and Toyotomi Hidenaga. Emperor Meiji thought General Toyotomi Hideyoshi, his son Hideyori, and Hideyoshi's brother Hidenaga were very important people for Japan.

When Hideyoshi was young, his name was Kinoshita Tokichiro and his wife, Kita-no-mandokoro was called Ne-Ne. Though it was common for each couple to have an arranged marriage during their time, Tokichiro and Ne-Ne had a love marriage.

It is said that if you have your marriage in this shrine, you will have a great family with eternal love.
